Actual land development activity at The Ponds began in the summer of 2006. Roads were paved in the 213 lot Phase I in August of 2007 and Phase I water and sewer permits were received in December 2007. The amphitheatre was completed in November of 2007 and the Farmhouse restoration was completed in December of 2007.

The first pool and recreational complex, located adjacent to the Farmhouse, was completed in February 2008. Phase I neighborhood parks were completed in the spring of 2008.

The new YMCA at The Ponds opened for business in March of 2009.
